You, as a vehicle owner need to be aware of how important properly aligned tires can be. Bad roads and poor driving habits can cause wheels to become out of alignment over time. Re-aligning the tires can fix the problem and restore vehicle’s maximum driveability, fuel efficiency, and driveability.

You can only tell when it is time by paying attention to the warning signs.

When is tire alignment required?

1- Vehicle towing from one side

Are you noticing that your car is pulling or drifting to one side as you move your fingers away from the wheel?

Your vehicle should be straight. You may have misaligned or under-inflated tires. If the towing continues, check the tire pressures. Your tires may need to be aligned. The worse the misalignment, the stronger the vehicle’s grip.

2- Irregular and Rapid Tire Wear

Properly aligned tires wear evenly. The rubber surface touches the road evenly and results in smooth shaving of teeth. You may have a problem with your alignment if your tires show excessive wear, either on the inside or outside.

3-Steering Vibrations

Strong vibrations should not be heard from the steering wheel as they can affect the vehicle’s control. This is a sign that the wheels are out of alignment. This causes the tires to move in different directions and creates vibration.

4- Curved steering wheel

Curved steering wheels can also help you determine when your tires need to be aligned. The steering wheel position should always be in the center when driving on a smooth road. If the steering wheel emblem is slightly tilted toward the sides, then you have misaligned tires. If the steering wheel emblem is slightly tilted to one side, this indicates that it is misaligned.

5- Squeak in Tires

A squealing sound from tires while turning or accelerating is another sign of improperly aligned tires. You should also check for worn brake pads or suspension problems.
