What is LPG Gas Tightness Report, exactly? Is the LPG Leakage Report removed? What is the cost of the Sealing Report ?….?

After the LPG/CNG conversion of your vehicle, you will receive a report stating that there is no gas in your vehicle.

Even if the authorized Mechanical Engineer of the assembly company has done the necessary checks, your vehicle must be taken to the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of that province. You will need the invoice, project and any other documents from the company. The “Gas Tightness Report” is a report by TMMOB stating that there is no gas leakage.

A Gas Tightness Report must be obtained for all newly assembled vehicles. If it is not received, it is not possible to pass the TÜVTÜRK inspection due to missing documents. If a vehicle has been given a Leakage Report, it must be inspected within a month. The document will be invalidated and must be obtained again.

Gas Tightness Report cost is 25 TL.

What is the Status of Sealing Report Removed?

The circular dated 19/12/11, 7th paragraph, titled “Concerns Concerning Vehicle Inspection Procedures”, stated that there was no obligation to obtain a report on gas tightness before periodic inspections. If your LPG conversion is already registered, then you don’t need to get a leak proof certificate. If your vehicle is new and the LPG Conversion has yet to be registered, you will need this document.

Another requirement is: Even if LPG Conversion is recorded in the license, the date on the LPG tank’s manufacture must be at least 6 digits. (such like 2009/05 or 2010./11). If the tank’s manufacture date is 4 digits (such 11/04 or 05/07), then you will need to go to inspection after you have received the Leakage Report.
