What is the P0090 fault code? What does it stand for?
If the powertrain controller module (PCM detects an open circuit in the electronic Fuel Pressure Regulator Circuit, the code P0090 is issued. This code is also used when the PCM cannot control the fuel regulator or the available fuel level does not correspond to the desired fuel.
There may be more than one electronic fuel regulator on some vehicles. A malfunction in the primary fuel regulator is indicated by the “1” in the code definition. In some vehicles it could also refer the engine block containing 1st-cylinder.
