What is the P0752 fault number? What is the description of the Shift Solenoid “A” Performance / Stuck Open failure? How do you fix the P0752 fault code What are the causes and symptoms of the P0752 error code?

What is the P0752 Fault code? What does it all mean?

A code P0752 means that the powertrain management module (PCM), detected a malfunction at the “A” shift solenoid.

Computer-controlled automatic transmissions employ shift solenoids for changing gear ratios. There are three solenoids in automatic transmissions. They are called A, C, and P0752.

The transmission control module (TCM or PCM) manages shift solenoids. They are responsible for changing the transmission gear ratio by directing fluid to different hydraulic circuits. As the vehicle speeds change, the solenoid controlling it directs the pressure fluid to the appropriate hydraulic circuit. The hydraulic circuit maintains proper alignment of all transmission components by applying pressure. You can increase engine performance by using different gear combinations. A code P0752 is issued if the PCM/TCM detects that the “A” shift solenoid has stopped working or is stuck in “On”. To notify the driver, however, the check engine lamp is activated on the instrument cluster. A transmission warning or overdrive light might also be on.

P0752 fault codes can be found on vehicles of all makes and models, including but not limited to Suzuki, Saturn, Acura Jeep, Duramax Ford, Duramax Ford, Duramax Acura Jeep, Duramax Acura Jeep, Duramax Ford, Mazda GMC Chevrolet Nissan Toyota, Honda, and Suzuki.

What Are the Possible Causes of P0752 Fault Codes?

Below are some reasons to set fault code P0752:

  • – In open position, defective or stuck solenoid “A” shift solenoid
  • – Oil with low or no transmission
  • – Use unsuitable or incompatible transmission oil
  • – A dirty or clogged transmission filter
  • – Hydraulic fluid lines clogged
  • – Corroded, damaged, burned, disconnected, or disconnected wiring and/or connectors
  • – Hydraulic control unit for transmission failure
  • – A clogged or defective transmission pump
  • – Other mechanical defects in the gearbox
  • Software update required for a defective PCM (or transmission control module) or deficient PCM.

What are the symptoms of P0752 Malfunction Code?

You may experience the following symptoms if your vehicle has the code P0752:

  • – Illumination at the check engine lights
  • Transmission warning light turns on
  • – Gearbox slipping
  • Gearbox can be stuck in any gear (especially 1-2).
  • – Incorrect or delayed gear changes
  • Engine stalling occurs when the vehicle is close to stopping
  • – While in gear, the vehicle doesn’t move.
  • – An increase in fuel consumption
  • – Gearbox overheating
  • – The engine might experience misfire-like symptoms in some cases.
  • – A PCM can go into failsafe mode

How to Fix the P0752 Fault Code

This code can be set if there is a problem with the shift circuit. This is often ignored and replaced by the shift solenoid.

There are several repairs that can resolve the P0752 fault code.

  • To determine if the codes will return, it is important to first clear them all.
  • – Cleaning the transmission, flushing it and filling up the transmission fluid.
  • – Replacing your transmission filter
  • – Repair damaged wires and connectors to solenoid
  • – Cleaning corrosion on connectors
  • – Replacing a defective solenoid for the “A” shift
  • – Replacing an inoperable hydraulic control unit
  • – Clearing out blockages or replacing the pump
  • – Reprogramming the TCM/PCM

How Serious Is the P0752 Fault Coding?

The P0752 Code can have serious consequences for the vehicle’s driving ability. The transmission may not shift or make erratic changes to its gears. The PCM may enter fail-safe mode and limit engine speed, making it difficult to drive. As heavy transmission damage can result, and expensive repairs will be required, it is important to have the fault fixed as soon as possible.
