If the powertrain control module (PCM), detects that the voltage signal coming from the control circuit for the reductant heater “A”, is not within the manufacturer’s specifications, a malfunction code P20BA will be set. Circuit “A”, as described in the code, is valid for vehicles equipped with more than one reducer heater. To determine which circuit “A”, consult the manual.
Selective Catalytic Reduction is a technology designed to reduce NOx residuals in the exhaust and manage diesel engine exhaust better. The system injects a reducing agent or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF/AdBlue) into the exhaust. By injecting Adblue into the exhaust, you can reduce the exhaust temperature.
