What causes low engine oil? Why does my engine start burning oil? Why does engine oil drop?

An indication of a leaky engine is a constant decrease in vehicle’s oil. Regular oil inspections are necessary to clearly understand the situation. If the engine starts losing oil, it is best to contact an authorized repairman immediately. Engine oil leaks can cause damage to the engine and other parts in the future. Because oil is essential for the engine and all its components, it cannot work without it. The first thing to do is determine the source of the leakage. You can determine if your vehicle has engine oil burning by simply providing some information. Look out for smoke coming from the exhaust if you suspect that oil is burning in your engine. If you see smoke coming out of the exhaust, this is a sign that something is wrong. You may also notice oil loss when the engine cover is opened. Oil burning on the vehicle is an indication that the pistons and rings have been serviced.

What Causes Engine Oil Reduction?

In vehicle engines, a little oil loss can be considered normal. An excessive loss of fat is a sign that there is a problem.

• Any wear on the engine rings, valves or pistons will cause the oil to burn. The engine will then experience oil loss.
• Intake valve bearings in the engine wear out over time. The carburetor absorbs oil and causes it to burn.
• Scratching and abrasion of inner surfaces of liners and cylinders.
• A blockage in the crankcase ventilation system or in the crankcase pipe.
• A looseness due to improper tightening of the rocker cover bolts.
• Damage to engine seals.
• Continuous use of the vehicle at high revs.
• Any malfunction in the oil pump.
• Defective or loose fitting of the joint gasket.
• Soot or carbon binding of oil rings.
• Inappropriate engine oil is not added to the vehicle.
