How does the EBD System work?
The system’s main purpose is to evenly distribute the brake force between the front and back wheels. The following can be used to explain the system in greater detail:
A forward force is created when you brake the vehicle while it is moving. This force acts on the suspension and causes the front of the vehicle to sit on the ground while the rear rises into the air. The load difference between front and rear wheels is greater when braking is more difficult.
The brake pressure is evenly distributed to both axles. This means that the rear brakes will begin to skid earlier than those on the front. The EBD system distributes brake pressure between the rear and front axles to compensate for the load imbalance. It sends more brake power to the front axle when there is hard braking and less to its rear counterpart.
This reduces the risk of aquaplaning the rear wheels. This makes it safer to brake. The ABS works in conjunction with the EBD system and it is an auxiliary system for the ABS. By greatly reducing the braking distance, it ensures that the vehicle's stability is maintained even during hard braking and cornering.
