What is the P0068 Fault code? What does it stand for?

Manifold Absolute Pressure, Mass Air flow (MAF), and Throttle Position(TPS) sensors monitor engine’s air intake in a variety of ways. The MAP sensor measures air pressure in the intake manifold. The MAF sensor calculates engine’s airflow volume. While the TPS sensor shows the position of throttle plate on throttle body, the TPS sensor displays the throttle plate. If any parameter values from one sensor conflict with those presented by other sensors, the Powertrain Control Module / ECM stores fault code P0068.

The PCM periodically tests all three sensors and compares the readings from the throttle position sensor with the information from the MAF or MAP sensors. Each sensor value should match the equivalent data from other sensors. Otherwise, the PCM might register a code P0068.

These sensors provide information that allows you to predict the life expectancy of the fuel injectors and the ignition time of the spark plugs. These sensors are used by the PCM to determine the best air-fuel mixture.
