What is the P0457 Fault code? What does it all mean?
An accompanying Fault Code P0457 is an “Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected” warning. If there is a significant leak in the EVAP system’s powertrain control module, the code will be set to P0457. A loose or missing fuel cap is often the cause of this leak.
