What is P0669 fault code and how can it be used? What is the PCM/ECM/TCM internal temperature sensor circuit high error code? How do I fix P0669 fault code What are the symptoms, causes and remedies for the P0669 error code?

What is the P0669 Fault code? What does it all mean?

Fault code 0569 is associated to the internal thermosensor circuit. This circuit includes either the engine control module, powertrain control module or transmission control module. These two modules can be combined to form the PCM, although some vehicles don’t have ECM or TCM.

The internal temperature sensor’s purpose is to monitor temperature of the control module. The code P0669 will activate the engine and transmission fault lamps if the PCM/ECM/TCM senses a high voltage signal from the internal temperature sensor circuit. The control module automatically shuts down to prevent damage in the event that there is too much temperature.

The P0669 fault code can affect vehicles of all makes and models, including but not limited to Mini, Chevrolet Mazda, Ford, Ford, Nissan Honda, Audi, Dodge and BMW.

What is the P0669 Fault Code?

Here are some reasons why P0669 should be set.

  • – Corroded and damaged wires or connectors, melting, corroded, damaged, melted, corroded. This can cause a short circuit in one of the control module’s control modules.
  • – The engine and transmission are overheated (this is both cause & effect).
  • – Defective control module (PCM/ECM/TCM)

The malfunction of the radiator/transmission cooler that causes excessive heat or clogged transmission lines can also cause P0669 to be set. In such cases, the fault codes for P0669 will be also set.

What are the symptoms of the P0669 Malfunction code?

These symptoms may be present in vehicles with code P0669.

  • – Illumination for check engine light
  • Transmission warning light turns on
  • – Engine stalling
  • – Engine does not start at all
  • – Faulty gear changes in an automatic transmission
  • – Engine overheating
  • – The gearbox is overheated

How to Fix the P0669 Fault Code

Individual control modules have temperature sensors which allow for self-diagnosis and protection against failure. Sometimes it is easy to find the module in fault mode. Start by checking the power and ground circuits, then compare them to the factory specifications and making any repairs. All codes should be cleared, and the system should then be retested. If both the ground and power circuits are in good condition, it is possible that the module is defective. It is necessary to replace the module and program it again.

There are several repairs that can resolve the P0669 fault code:

  • – Making repairs and testing control module circuits
  • Repair of corroded and melted cables and connectors
  • – Repair of or replacement power and ground wires
  • – Repair of malfunctions causing engine and transmission heat
  • – Replacing defective control modules (PCM/ECM/TCM))

How Serious Is the P0669 Fault Code

P0669 is a code that indicates serious problems with the engine or transmission. This could cause the engine’s to stop working and prevent it from starting again. This code is unsafe to use. Even if the engine runs, there are still risks of damage. This code should not be ignored and must be addressed immediately.
